I booked a holiday last weekend with Imperial Travel. Got confirmation through really quickly and all details seem fine except the price: they've added on 50 per person that I did not agree to. Any advice? Tried to call the agent I booked it with and they weren't there, they just told me to ring the main customer services number during office hours.
I double checked the final amount with him but I don't have any proof of this as it was over the phone. Are ABTA able to help with this kind of thing?
Thanks for any advice you may have...

I have booked at least six holidays over the last seven or eight years with this company.
I've booked holidays to mallorca, gran canaria and been to various red sea resorts with them.
I just came across this forum while searching on the web for their phone number. I feel that the reviews on them here are incredibly biased against them. We have never had any problems with any of our holidays and have always thought they were incredibly good value.
I think you will find that the number of people that have a problem with their booking is a tiny minority out of the overall number of bookings that they do.
I've checked their details with companies house, they have been trading for ten years and had a turnover last year of almost 20 million.
Anyhow each to their own, I will happily continue booking with them I would suggest you take these forums with a large pinch of salt!!

The only reason I am on this site is because we booked to go on holiday with these people and would like to reassure other people who have booked. After reading the comments on this site my friend was really concerned so yesterday I e-mailed them about our concerns and today I had a reply and they are sending out hotel confirmatiom. I was so pleased with their quick response and they said if I had any more questions not to hesitate to get in touch. I hope this puts alot of you at peace and hope you have a really good holiday

p.s. i wouldn't worry if you don't get a quick reply they may have rather a lot of replys to answer

i have used imperial travel 3 or 4 times to go to turkey and egypt. i have never had any problems. yes it is hard to get through to customer services but they have always been really helpful when i have spoken to them. i have just booked with them again and i have no worriesabout it. everyone has a nightmare holiday story to tell, but hardly anyone mentions when things go right. i personally dont think imperial are any better or worse than any other company. hope you enjoy your hols!

I have booked with these for the first time due to fly out in 3 weeks time and after reading this review was getting really worried as tickets haven't arrived but have just phoned them and got through straight away to be told tickets are sent out 7-10 days before departure so feeling much better now.

2 days ago I booked a holiday for 4 adults and two 3 year olds to Turkey after seeing offer on Teletext. I had paid after being given impression offer could go soon without reviewing all details. When I did review the holiday it was 50/50 and at the far end of most common resorts in Alanya. I want to cancel or change to a closer location to the airport as I dont want a 2hr transfer with young kids in the early hours. I am supposed to get my papers and tickets next Wednesday but am very concerned by all these comments. How do I cancel or change holiday without losing all my money?

Yes, I had a problem with them about name mis-spilling which was not my fault and was forced to pay 70. Staff very impolite and discourtious. Management is incompetent to the extent that I have been sent by mistake another customer travel documents! I would never have anything to do with them again and decided to take them to court unless they re-pay the 70 I was unfairly charged for a mistake I have not committed.
