Well after several weeks of emails and having to wait 2 days each time for a reply, they have said my rooms were booked in good faith!
To get the room types I requested in the first place, they want me to pay 75 plus the costs of the upgraded rooms.
Naturally I told them not to bother, I'll hopefully pay less direct to the hotel when in resort.
If I could get the same holiday for the same price elsewhere then I'd contact my credit card company to get a refund, but we must not forget the only reason we used them is because they were cheaper than anyone else.
Next time I'd rather pay a bit more to get what I ask for and for decent customer service and after sales.

It's not all bad news though, a friend at work used them last year with no problems, but then again he did'nt need to call thier customer service.

WHAT A JOKE - TAKE YOUR MONEY WITHOUT BOOKING A HOLIDAY

Avoid this company! I tried to book on-line with them only to realise that the holiday can take them 48 hours to book. But they will deduct the money from your account and when what you want isn't availabe they will offer you an alternative. This is frustrating as for upto 48 hours you may not know whether it is booked or not. Then, if like me, your not rolling in it!, you will have to wait up to 7 days for them to refund the money to you before you can book elsewhere.

Eventually I went along to a small local travel agent and they bettered the OTB price anyway

We have our holiday booked and confirmed with OTB and received all travel vouchers, but am still concerned. Did you all receive your booking confirmations before you had problems? I haven't heard from OTB since the booking (apart from receiving confirmation etc).

Thanks ;O)

Just returned from our hols to Lanzarote with OTB and thought I'd let everyone know that we had no problems at all! Initially I had to re-request our transfer voucher but it was re sent by email very quickly. I also had special requests for in-flight meals etc and OTB arranged this with no problems as requested.

I would advise that if you do book with OTB just ensure that you read through all of the booking information carefully. If you like the security and service that accompanies the high street travel agents then booking with OTB is probably not for you, but as I regularly book travel arrangements independently I am happy with paying reduced prices for receiving a less personal service.

I would definitely book with OTB again. Hope this helps!

Oh my god, I wish I had logged onto this website a month ago!
I booked a holiday to tenerife at Easter and am flying out Tuesday.

My friend just got back from the hotel next door and told me this morning that my hotel is a building site, the pool is dug up and it looks closed. OTB.com did not advsie me of this when I booked the holiday and were happy to take 90 off me last week for a pool view room upgrade!!!!!! 90 to look at diggers and concrete, great!

So I have been trying to get in touch with someone at OTB today and they are the most unprofessional non coustomer focused organisation I have ever come across!

I rang the hotel direct and they seem to think the hotel is opening on Monday but it sounded like this would be v unlikely given what it looked like yesterday.

I am fuming and not sure where to go from here, my emails (only way of contacting them) were have been ignored all day even though titled urgent and were even v polite to start with.

I will report back should anything change, I really hope they don't turn out to be as bad as some of the reports say they are.

Hi Colinrolin,

Have you spoken to anyone there yet? Do you have telephone contact number? Can you tell me the name of the hotel you are going to also. This way I can find out which accommodation operator OTB are using. We might be able to get you sorted by going over Onthebeach's head. I can't make any promises about what I can do but I will give it a whirl.

I have booked flights and an aparthotel with this company and am now very concerned as I am due to leave on Wednesday this week and they have now emailed saying the apartment which they accept was described in my hotel voucher as two bedroomed, is in fact two roomed. That means five of us sleeping between two rooms They have offered inferior alternative accomodation which I have rejcted. I am tempted to refuse their accomodation and secure my own hotel suing them for the accomodation costs. Any ideas what i can do?
