I booked flights with this company yesterday, given a price and paid by debit card. I have today had a phone call to say the price was wrong and that several taxes had been omitted due to the airline downloading wrong information on to the web site. I have checked all the flights going to the required destination and they all seem to have omitted this information. Am I just being sinical or is this a way of getting you to book then telling you sorry we will need another X amount of pounds from you to complete the booking?

Did they say if this was the new green tax the government have introduced on all flights?
I too have booked through this company for a family holiday later this year.
First impressions - not very good.
I requested a certain type of accomodation on a resort only to find out, when I recieved the booking conformation, that they had actually booked us into a different type.
Their sales desk then wanted more money to upgrade the rooms that they had wrongly booked, despite it being thier mistake!!
Also their administration department is only contactable via email and then it takes 2 days for a reply.
So maybe I am cynical too.

In my opinion they have mis-quoted you and now they are trying to make some money back. Stick to your guns. You have a verbal contract for the price you paid - if you book online and it confirmed the price, even better. If they charge your card anyway, then claim it back through the bank.
If it is the new increased air passenger duty tax they 'missed' off you should only be paying another 5 per person I think. Ask them for a copy of the airlines invoice for taxes if in doubt.
Treknology - Ask them to listen to the recorded call of the reservation you made over the phone. I suspect they will say they don't record the calls. You can then argue you never actually agree to make the reservation, it works both ways. If they haven't recorded the call they have no proof you decided not to proceed with the booking even after you had handed over your card details.

Have now received answers to queries raised and all seems to be in order with our booking, and we haven't been asked for more money - yet! Fingers crossed!

We used this company for our Hurghada holiday in January last year. (sorry did review on another site !) We booked flights and hotel with them on line, not long after the transaction went through I received a call from one of their staff to say the price of the flight I had chosen was incorrect and had to pay an extra 11 per person. We still thought it was a good price and went ahead. At the hotel we got speaking to another couple who booked with Med hotels and found out they had paid over 100 more per person but we were also with Med hotels but via Onthebeach!!
