We used qwerty travel last year to go to portugal, being a party of 3 fully grown adults.1 of our party ended up sleeping on 3 different broken camp beds consequtively for the 2 weeks in a '4*' hotel. The food was unedible/dia in the hotel (the vegetarian options included: coleslaw if you picked the HAM out and vegetables with veale and meat served from behind the vegetables and therefore slopping everywhere!!) EVEN THOUGH WE CHECKED WITH QUERTY THAT THEY DID ADULT BEDS AND DID VEGETARIAN FOOD THEY SUPPOSEDLY RANG UP THE HOTEL TO CHECK FOR US!! We went full board but went out every night to eat, adding extra expense. We saw our rep about our problems when we phoned to see if we had one as the hotel had no information about our reps for us but hotel did not help at all. We phoned qwerty from resort ,they did NOT HELP AT ALL NEITHER. We were informed they could not help while were on holiday but would help when we got back, so we contacted qwerty on arrival back home, they tried to pass us off with our complaints, offering no help what-so-ever. Ater weeks of trying to get qwerty to take our complaints seriously we got a solicitor to write on our behalf. It is clear that qwerty are very helpful in booking and taking your money ,but after that your on your own.
If you are going to brave it and use them, do not pay for private taxi from the airport to resort,we did,and ended up in a mini bus with other people, when it should have been just our party. The minibus was falling to pieces inside and you would not have been able to put a child in there with no padding in broken seats. It was unsafe.
My advice to anyone looking at qwerty would be DO NOT USE THEM. Use a reputable company to have a good holiday!

we, booked our holiday in june with qwerty travel...... what a joke from the start.

We booked for salou a party of 16 people flying from Manchester landing at Reus.

Mistake 1. The next day after booking on, we received a call informing from them informing us that there was no flights going to Reus on that day and should have been to Gerona airport ..

Mistake 2.They said that we had no option and would now have to fly from Liverpool to Gerona... which we had no choice, My wife decided to check other companys and flights were going to Reus airport on that day. My wife then checked the flights from Liverpool and there was no flight for the day that they had given us. We contacted them and told them they had made yet another mistake. They said oh .... its Blackpool air port.... not Liverpool.

Mistake 3 After booking the transfers from Gerona to Salou last week at a cost of £130 and taking payment two weeks before we are set to fly they have now called us and said that yet another mistake has been made and that the price of £130 is wrong it needs to be £600 just for the transfer.

After speaking to the "Admin Manager" and asking them what they CAN DO....... She admited that a mistake on there bealf had been made and was not willing to put it right as it was "not just a few pounds it was £500".... I explained that they had made yet another mistake and it was there faut not mine.

I asked to speak with someone who could tell me what they CAN DO instead of what they cant do, which she was not able to do.
She said that the next person above her was the MD of the company who does not take calls ..... " that is why he has Admin Manager "

I was shocked and could not belive that the "Managing Director "of a company woud not speak with his CUSTOMERS that keep himself and his staff in alife style that they are a custom to...

Been in bussiness myself ....I strongley believe that every bussiness no matter what its purpose or product is ....the customers are more important than the turnover and profit . as without customers you do not have a bussiness.

I WIL NOT BE DOING ANY FURTHER BUSSINESS WITH THIS OUTFIT AND WILL BE TELLING AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE ABOUT THE WAY THAT THEY "RUN THIS COMPANY WHICH AT THIS RATE WILL NOT BE FOR LONG........

I found Qwerty travel on teletext, the prices were reasonable enough to get me interested. I rang them to ask for a quote for april 2008 and found the person on the end of the line to be very rude and impatient, he said and i quote, 'look luv i'm very busy, give us your number, i'll call you if it gets quiet later'. i hung up. in my humble opinion, if they don't have time they can't have my money.
like yourself i then looked on the net and my suspicions were confirmed.

Hey there, I have booked with qwerty travel many times now and find they have a very professional approach, they price beat most genuine quotes. I booked with them once and Jamie set me up with the elite discounts rate, I found they beat Thomson by £130 pp on my last family holiday to sharm.

I understand from talking to the sales advisers there, that the founders owned two large companies which were sold to lastminute.com a few years ago, nice to know that you are doing business with a reputable company.

Hope this helps

Hi there. I've actually booked with Qwerty Travel a few times now and have never had a problem with them. They seem to have some good background knowledge about the destinations they fly to and one of the girls managed to get us upgraded to a junior suite as i was celebrating my birthday while we were on holiday! Am booked to go with them to Egypt this December so fingers crossed for another good holiday! :)

Hi I have also been intrested and impressed by the prices qwerty travel are offering. However once bitten twice shy (as I was scammed with a holiday scam in 2006 as lost a fair bit of money, which I never got back) I have checked on the ABTA web site and this company name is not listed, So my advise from someone who has been burnt before is stay away and only go with the reputable companies, if not check these companies out on the abta web site. Happy and scam free holidaying.

Hi There,
I arranged a holiday with QWERTY TRAVEL, I booked the holiday on the spur of the moment and when I saw the flight times was not impressed, the return journey being through the night, I complained but it was not possible to change the flight as they had booked it with Thomson, I then looked up the hotel feedback and was not impressed and asked that to be changed, which they did at an extra cost of £280 , the company will try to appease you if they can, at a cost of course!!, they advertised the original holiday as 5 star, which it may have been , however feedback on the hotel was not good, the alternative hotel was 1st class , the company is fine, just check flight times and look for feedback on hotels before booking as the company are giving you good value holidays, it is up to the consumer to check all travel times, so ask! before booking because once booked they cannot change these.

Hi, Four of us booked with Qwerty Travel we went on an all inclusive holiday to Sharm El Sheikh (Naqb Bay) in April this year (2008) the agent was very helpful, the hotel complex was as it is on the internet and the price was cheaper than a brochure. We all had a good holiday we were all satisfied.

My family and I booked a holiday with Qwerty Travel and it was our best holiday to date. Family of 8, to Sharm el Sheikh. This was easily our best holiday, and we found the customer service from qwerty was excellend. I find the above reviews difficult to believe, based on my own experience with Qwerty Travel. The price was good and the service was excellent.

I will certainly be using Qwerty Travel to book our next Holiday.

Thanks

Jim B

Hi,

Me and my partner booked through Qwerty Travel via a Teletext offer in Turkey.

Their pricing and telephone service was fine and polite.
They sent through all that we needed before the trip.

Note: As part of the paperwork was what they call "VOUCHERS" : Please keep these safe as these are actually needed as payment for things like transfers / Holiday Accommodation etc.

It seems that at Turkey at least - the Vouchers are the contract between Qwerty and the hotels etc to that Qwerty will pay the companies on receipt of the vouchers. - Which are really just letters of confirmation.

The only thing I wasnt happy with - was the Transfers.

If you book a package holiday - it is assumed that it is a PACKAGE... and includes such things as transfers to and from the Airport. We got to Bodrum Airport late on arrival and went outside for the transfer to the hotel.... The rabble which run the transfers to hotels whole thing are not the most organised, hence we were not on his list - but he took the papaerwork anyway and we got to our hotel.

Upon our return date, we actually confirmed with the hotel reception about our transfer back to the airport - to be told they come through by fax and not to worry !!! On the actual day of flight....no confirmation of transfer (We were out in the middle of nowhere at a lovely hotel in its own bay) so with the help of the hotel staff - had heated discussions with the Transfer services, as they had not got us down for being picked up.... asked us to quote our voucher number over the phone - which we had unfortunately already given the voucher to the Transfer idiots at the Airport when we arrived into the country.... No Voucher - No return transfer !!!! So we ended up taking a private taxi to the airport ourselves at over 20 quid.

Other than that..... Qwerty seemed to provide everything we needed.
