DO NOT USE SUNMASTER!!! RIP-OFF!!!

Same thing happend to me; I'm in the US my partner is in the UK without internet access so I go online to find a holiday. I find what I think is good deal but everytime I hit the submit button an error page pops up. So I tell my partner to call them first to make sure we hadn't been charged twice and also to see what was going on.
I was quoted 410 pounds, my partner was told 550, I was livid when I spoke to him later that evening. After finally tracking down a phone number I could use from the US they were closed, so I woke up at 4A the next morning to cancel. It had been less than 12 hours, and it even states on their own website "a booking isn't confimred until a confirmation number is given" well none was given; even now 3 week later my partner has still yet to receive any paperwork from them. So I thought I could cancel...no you can't. They even told me they didn't have to give a confirmation number as they would have gotten a verbal confirmation from my partner.
In the US we have "buyers remorse" generally a buyer is given 24 hours to change their mind (my gym gave me 3 days), but no, not here. When they found out I wasn't the primary name listed on the paperwork they stopped talking to me, fine call the man that booked it-they never did, he had to call them at a cost to him. The staff was rude and they keep on hold forever.
I found the same holiday for 120 pounds less so I was going to use their price guarantee, but no I can't as they don't recognize the airline that beat their price...WHAT???? I will never use this fly by night company again and I would urge everyone to stay away, go to Sunshine.co.uk that is the site where I found our holiday cheaper, and you book online, no deposit and make an expensive phone call to finalise everything, the price you see online is what you pay.
Our holiday is in November and I'm praying for something to go a miss, something that I can blame on this sorry excuse for a travel company. One thing that I just can't understand is how travel companies aren't regulated in the UK...I mean are they?Is there someone I can complain to about this? Like the BBB (Better Business Bureau)in the US.

Still at it! October 2009! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
A totaaly distrustworthy and sneaky outfit. Preying on the last minute booking market and the 'We taped the conversation' I had it played back to me and it cut at the point I objected. I shall never deal with them again NOR recommend them! I could have booked EASYJET and the HOTEL myself cheaper direct! USELESS AND CHARLATANS..........

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY....DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.... DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY...DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY....DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.... DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY...DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY....DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.... DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY...DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY....DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.... DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY..DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY....DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.... DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY....

I too have been duped by this company. I think the practise of hiking the prices is apalling and something should be done about it. What do you say we all take it up with Trading Standards and see if we can put a stop to it? I have written to them. watchdog, the one show and rogue traders. I booked for my 60th birthday and havn't actually taken my holiday yet, but I have lost all faith in this company and the holiday is ruined before it begins

Just to let you know I was contacted by consumer direct and they are passing me details to trading standards regarding the set up of sunmaster holidays as they too think this site is mis leading. Maybe we will get some satisfaction if we all complain. If you were charged even more after the telephone call evidently you may be able to claim this amount back through your credit card company. If we all do this also the banks may get fed up and take up our cause.

I have used sunmaster on a few occasions and found them to be fine. Good cheap holidays....... however..... not this time!! I wish i had seen this site before I booked with them this time as low and behold they upped the price by over £100 and yes that is how they get away with it by telling you it is not a live site.... how ridiculous is that... They quote you a price and do not say this will go up when you ring for confirmation. surely there must be something that we can do to put a stop to this happening to other people.. It should not be allowed, It is wrong to send you an e.mail with all the details on that you got off the website then change them to what they want, when you ring them.
