Thomsons have lost our luggage!!

We've just had our cases returned to us. They'd been sent to leeds/Bradford. They sent them to Liverpool last night and the guy from Liverpool brought them here. He had a van load to deliver all over Wales.
It must cost them a fortune in lost luggage.

That just shows you they dont check everything security wise!
They aren't supposed to let luggage on if there is no passenger with that name on board , what a farce.
Good Job you aint a terrorist then Ron, hope you didnt leave any of your magnums in your case.

Thomsons have lost our luggage!!

Hope you get more help from Thomsons than we did when our luggage didn't turn up for three days at Hammamet last September. We were only there for a week and it was ruined by the lack of help from the rep who was absolutely useless and kept giving us false info. Wrote twice to thomsons when we returned but they didn't want to know. Perhaps someone at HW can clarify this for me. If you go on a package holiday and something goes wrong, as in the case of lost luggage, surely it's down to the rep to sort it out. I appreciate if it's not a package tour, then it's down to the individual but Thomsons told me it was my responsibility to chase it up. Luckily we had good insurance but we were three days with hardly any clothes.

That's horrendous, we were told that when we leave our cases at check in, it is then the responsiblity of Servisair. We had a claim form to fill in if our luggage didn't turn up. But, the small print said that we had to have receipts for every single item we were claiming for. THing is, we were returning home, and any receipts we had were in the cases anyway.

Glad you got your luggage back safely, but at least you were coming home so had some clothes when you got back. There's nothing worse than waiting for your suitcase on the carousel and then it stops with nothing else on it - plus you have to endure the wrath of everyone on the coach that's waiting to take you to the hotel because you've kept the coach waiting for an hour!!! Not the best situation to be in.
