Thomsons have lost our luggage!!

Arrived at Liverpool airport this afternoon, waited and waited....no suitcases. So we went to the Thomson desk, they say htye could've gone to leeds/Bradford.
When we were in Alicante, the Liverpool desks were 7-8, but a rep told us to go to No:3. I explained that we were going to Liverpool and had been told to go there, the girl said it was ok and she'd check us in.
So we're back home minus all our clothes, prezzies etc. I have no idea when or if we'll see our cases again.

I can't imagine what your going through Ron. It must be awful to lose cases. Just keep pestering them until you get an answer. Just a thought, maybe the check-in at Alicanti didn't attach a desination tag to the cases? Di you see the airport tag get stuck on?

Hope you get it shorted shortly......In the mean time have you tried ringing Terminal 5, just in case!!!

Terminal 5 (Whats's that?) It's dreadful, we bought things for the kids, and ciggies of course. I bought my wife a beautiful white coat, and several T shirts for me too.
Funny thing, the little sticky tabs they give you for your luggage was stuck on the back of our boarding passes which we gave in at Alicante on boarding the plane. So we've got no receipt as such.

ron when boarding the plane the stubs that you get handed back should have the luggage barcodes stuck on them.

Hiya Tom, the stubs were stuck on the boarding pass which we handed in when boarding the plane. they gave us the small stub but the luggage receipt was stuck on the big part which they kept.

Did you see what 3 letter code was printed on the luggage tags they put on your cases Ron? LPL - Liverpool or LBA - Leeds

No John, I didn't notice that at all. They gave me a letter with their phone number to ring tomorrow, I rang Leeds/Bradford but they said I would have to liasse with Liverpool. The woman on their desk said that if they were traced, a courier would deliver them, I sure hope that they are found. What with the prezzies and clothes and ciggies there's around �1000 worth of stuff in them.

Yeah it can be traced by the handling agent in alicante who has a copy of your luggage code. Give it a few days and things should be in motion.

I rang Liverpool airport this morning. They say they had an Email from Leeds/Bradford to say they have 4 suitcases there and will be transfered to Liverpool some time today. So we are hoping and praying that 2 of them are ours.
