Just returned from Crete where we stayed for 17 days. Two weeks in timeshare accomodation in different areas and hotels either side + car hire for the duration. Hotel booked for the first night with Travel Republic and also car hire. No problems at all. Will definitely use them again. The last two nights were booked with lastminute.com and also had no problems. This is the first time I have booked with internet sites like this and was a bit nervous that they wouldn't deliver, but they did. Will not hesitate to book with these companies again. Booked flights direct with the airline.

Whatever you get quoted by Travel Republic, expect to pay a good deal more. When I booked with them recently they added late booking fees, surcharges for them, Thomas Cook and the airline, they charged me a £30 credit card fee that they didn't tell me about and then they sent me a receipt that told me the total I expected, not the total I actually had to pay. These people are con-artists and you should not trust your holiday to them.

I have used them once before with no problem. This time however, I am being told that I will have to pick up my flight tickets at the airport (despite having booked 8 months ago). This is worrying me and I can't look forward to my holiday in the same way as normal. Poor show! Just hope the tickets are there!

I have just returned from 2 weeks in Alcudia on Majorca booked with travel republic. Before I went I was concerned as I had heard some unkind reports abou tthem. There are a few extras such as paying for baggage check in and airport transfers.

Paying th eextras wa swell worth it, the transfers were very smooth and we had no problems with checking in baggage or anything to do with the fllight. We had to take extra hand luggage full of medical equipment for one of our children and they sorted this out for us with easyjet at no extra charge what so ever.

Going with travel republic is budgeting for your holiday and trying to get the cheapest deal possible. So I think some people that complain about them have champagne tastes on beer money.

The hotel Alcudia was ok not that we spent much time in it with a great beach 100 metres away.

We had a really good relaxing holiday and Travel Republic did what it says on the tin.

Its a cheap holiday - you get what you pay for and your holiday is what you make it
