| Never book with Go2Spain.
Yes they are cheap, though they're also useless. We booked a hotel with them and when one of the party turned up the day before we did the hotel said we never had a booking. Then when I turned up a day later they said the booking had been cancelled and the hotel was now fully booked.
I then had to sort myself out with another hotel, and when I came back to England I tried to get a refund though they've refused, claiming all sorts of nonsense such as I should have read the 'small print' which states that I should have called them when there was a problem. How bad is that as a reason for not giving back £150? They're the perfect example of a conning organisation.
Absolute terrible organisation.

| So the company is useless because you couldn't be bothered to read the small print! Why do you think they display an emergency telephone number? Try doing the same with a holiday insurance company ie, seeking expensive medical treatment without contacting them first and you'll also end up out of pocket.

| I have booked with GO2Spain... several times... and have never had a problem... RE SALOU... something to be wary of is the busy railway line that runs through the resort... MAKE SURE THAT YOUR HOTEL ROOM DOES NOT OVERLOOK THE RAILWAY LINE.... its a nightmare

My Profile
| this is a strange thread considering that go2spain seems to be a relatively large company offering some very competitive prices.
it has attracted a lot of comments from 1 time posters both slating and praising this company.
i have looked at them a few times and may actually book with them for the end of this month(because i have checked them out on other sites where i post more often), as their prices for what i want are quite competitive.
i would have more faith in the comments posted if i could see that the posters had actually contributed more often, and there were more details than saying something like -they are great or rubbish.

| We've all got to start somewhere!
I had never heard of this site before.
I had never heard of Go2Spain before.
And any post is likely to be positive or negative considering the title of the thread.
Mind you my first post wasn't about Go2Spain specifically and unlike the poster who did have problems I shall be contacting the hotel before arriving.
I've booked for the middle of March and I shall report back!

| looks as though chrismk works for go2spain.
a cancelled booking is a cancelled booking as far as I'm concerned, and lets face it, blaming people for not calling up when they are told by the hotel that there's no more rooms isn't really the point. Add this to being told by the hotel that the room has NOT been charged and common sense tells you that it should be something that you do not let affect the rest of your holiday, though rather sort out when you're back in the UK.
Most cheap booking agents will pretty much give you what you pay for, so I wasn't expecting a great deal, though it's in the event of a problem that they show their true worth.
If you go with them, just be warned that if something doesn't quite work out as planned you may be in trouble.
I'd like to see if anyone has had a problem sorted out by them?

| I've only just seen the stupid response by traveldme.
I stand by my comment that in any situation like that, you contact the company first BEFORE making your own arrangements. Then you can judge how good their reaction is. And then you can justifiably post negative comments if you get no joy.
I emailed the hotel I had booked with through Go2Spain; it took them a couple of minutes to respond and confirm. Now that was difficult and time consuming wasn't it?
If you really think I work for Go2Spain I suggest you go to www.mitre.net and ask the question using the email facility.
We had a great week at the Nautilus Bungalows in Lanzarote AND I saved a not insignificant sum by booking through Go2Spain.

| Hi
well its good to hear we are doing something right, we check competitor pricing daily and adjust accordingly, we are not always the cheapest but ordinarily we pretty much are 90% of the time

| Hi - I booked to go to Torremolinos last year. I booked the hotel over the phone rather on the net and the advisor was very polite and helpful. I received confirmation via my hotmail. I had no problems at all with this company and everything went just as smoothly when i reached my hotel. The hotel actually had been fully refurbished and was far nicer that the photos on the site. I will definately be booking with them this year. Hapy hols x
