holiday-experts.co.uk.... anyone have experience of them?

I have been having a nightmare of a time with this company since first booking a holiday with them 3 months ago.I would be pleased to hear from anyone with experience of them (Head Office Barrow in Furness, sales rep Coventry based). I currently feel I have no confidence that my family's holiday will materialise (in 7 weeks time) and am now having to wait for the return of the sales rep from Australia in a week's time before anything further can be done.

Surely you want a Customer Services manager and not a Sales Rep?

Did a search of their ABTA number on the ABTA website and got the foolwing - they have a shed load of trading names. Not that means anything.

Hi ....booked a hol in July in Italy with this lot..Had no probs, were very efficient,went to Riva el Garda.Flights and transfers and stuff and hotel facilities were sound.I got the impression it was a wee company..I have tried to contact them today by phone to book another hol in October but no -one is answering...also it says they are not on-line at present. The person who dealt with previous booking was Paula who seemed very friendly and efficient Lesley

How did you get on I am thinking of booking with them?

I'm a regular booker with Holiday Experts, never had a problem. Been to Australia, France, Spain and had a great Caribbean deal off them. I think the issue here is, they are a home worker based company hence you will speak to different agents; (might explain all the different numbers) however I personally have a great rapport with a number of their agents now and have gained this by them giving me their direct telephone number as previously mentioned! I could always get in contact with her on this number.

I love it because you can talk to the same person time and time again and they are always there as they work from home. I also checked they are fully ABTA bonded and they have an ATOL license.

Can't say I've ever had a problem with their website and I often browse it.

Hi just found this company on Google as I am looking to book a long haul holiday, normally only use the large companies or do everything myself - just waiting for them to come back to me with a quote. Bit worried now seeing the top persons experience...

We investigated HW Chris' post regarding the Trojan on our website at the time and our Technician's found our site to be fully functional and virus free. Further to HW Chris' post regarding the list of trading names, this was a requirement forced upon us by Teletext Holidays in order for us to post holidays on their website. Due to recent changes which are now coming into effect, we will no longer need to use these trading names and we will be able to trade under the name Holiday Experts as we wish, and as we have done in all other cases.

We receive numerous positive feed back from our customers and these can be found on our website. We will continue to watch these forums to help address any questions or queries you may have.
