hi tazz.
i've checked the web and found no reviews on them,so they seem ok,they are ABTA and ATOL registered so you do have protection.

i would have thought if they were dodgy there would have been lots of reviews about them, but none good or bad.

here is the ABTA info on them.

I have just endeavoured to book flights with this website. The transaction went through, but then message appeared saying flight reservation failed. On phoning the number given, I was informed the price had gone from £237 to more than £540.
Naturally, I cancelled, but the flight package is still on their website at £246.
I wouldn't touch this lot with a barge pole

Hi..I also picked a flight to Cape Town and got very excited at finding what I thought was a great deal .I continued to the check out all looked genuine and gave all my credit card details and that was that, just had to wait for the confirmation email.I checked my email shortly after and I also got a transaction failed and A number to ring to confirm. When I rang ,the person on the phone said "You missed the availability on that flight would you like me to find another.I told them I wasnt happy about them taking my card detiails in which the kept replying "we havent taken any money from the account"Eventually after 20 mins on the phone they got me a quote for the same dates for double the one I originally thought I had.I didnt take it and I have now reported them to trading standards. They are looking into it,but dont think they have broken any laws because the payment didnt actually go through so no contract was made.It is all just a very elaberate way to get people to phone them.Surely people dont actually say OK then ill pay it.Steer clear from them is my advice.

I have just come back from Florida after using Holdiay Genie and had NO problems whatsoever - i dealt with a wonderful lady called Mel via telephone and email and she couldnt have been more helpful. We flew with Delta Airlines, had a car through Dollar and a 3 Bedroom condo on a gated community - all in all a wonderful holiday at a fraction of the price and will book again with them in the next few week

Just had a similar experience as the two unfortunate deals although it is still being processed. Tried to book a flight to thailand for xmas...

Went ahead and booked following the advice of a proper broker who said 'go for it - I can't match it'. After submitting card details received message saying: 'Credit Card Transaction completed successfully!
Flight Reservation failed!'

I've emailed them and asked for them to send me quotes for flights if that one doesn't exist (I hate having to ring up too!) I'll post when I find out what happens...

We had a holiday to Florida booked with Travel City Direct for October 2008 when they went bust. Every travel agent I contacted said there were no flights at all, they were all full and they would not have been able to match anywhere near the price. Two days later I rang Florida Holiday Genie who found 4 seats straight away with Delta Airlines and for only £80 more than we originally paid and for superior accomodation in a 3 bed condo. The lady on the phone,Zoe, was very helpful, responded to emails instantly and we had a fantastic holiday. This was the second time we have booked with them and would definately do so again. I cannot praise them high enough for all their help after losing our holiday with only 4 weeks to go.

I have booked with Holiday Genie for Christmas and New Year to Florida. When I first booked I agree there was some too and fro with pricing. But in the end we got a very good deal. We are also flying with Delta. Mel has been super helping a lot especially as we are taking our Grandchildren of 4 and 7, she has given us lots of advice and tips. So far I have been very pleased with the treatment from them. Upon our return I will post my observations and experiences. Merry Christmas to all and a Happy New Year.
