i'm not sure if this is the right section to put this, but generally how much do you think it would cost to change a name on a booking?

Depends who you are flying with , its generally around 20-25 with most airlines however I have recently read another post on another site about an airline who charged 20 quid plus the price of the flight now less price already paid ie a rip off.

Hi following on from your name change query I am also trying to do a name change at the moment the booking was made with travelrepublic and the holiday is booked with GOLDTRAIL HOLIDAYS. Travelrepublic are finding it impossible to contact them by phone and they have not replied to any emails sent over the last week. I have also tried to contact them but the phone just rings for 5 mins and then you get cut off. Does anyone have a number for GOLDTRAIL that actually connects you to them?......Departure is 1 week away and I am desperate

I'm trying to get one letter changed on flight tickets, my wife's initial.
We got our tickets on the 22nd of May this year and we're due to fly out on June 4th.
I went to the Thomas Cook shop to explain and was told the alteration would cost 40.00 in admin fees.
Naturally i went nuts, "why i asked, why that much?, its like a bloody stealth tax".
I reminded the manager that over the years i had spent thousands on holidays in their shop and a little good will wouldn't go amiss.
" But you signed the forms, she said, its not our fault, it yours".
I told her the print on the letter was so bloody small my wife and i could hardly read it ( actually we've both got reading specks now and can make out the error ) but that didn't mean anything to her at all, it was all our fault, the customer's fault.
After contacting her boss she got the fee reduced to 15 so all of you expect the same too, however we are still waitng for the amended tickets to arrive.
She confessed to us that getting in contact with their ticket issue Dept.
can be very difficult but she wouldn't tell me why it is. So far this difficulty has lasted 7 working days, with 3 to go and no sign of movement.
Now how bloody ironic is that, a modern up to date company that can get you abroad in a few hours but takes a week or more to correct one letter of the alphabet.
Apparently if the tickets do not arrive, the shop will give me a letter that i have to present to the Thomas Cook Office at the airport to get the tickets printed there. Pay an admin fee and do it yourself now it seems.
Like so many others here, Thomas Cook have lost my custom, they made my wife and i feel like idiots, idiots who pay their wages no longer.
Make sure your name is spelt correctly when you book a hol folks, but not with Thomas Cook

its about time some goverment body stopped this idiocy,it happens all to often everything you do or buy has a ripoff clause in it nowerdays.

having said that the government are no better, thomas cook has probably learned these skills from them.;-((
