Dear Jay-C

I have to say that I was trying to book a holiday with Hello Holidays and waited on their line for 20 minutes without an answer.

I then tried a little later in the evening and spent 5 minutes in the queue before being hung up on.

I then rang back, got to a holiday advisor, asked a question about transfers and then got hung up on. They obviously don't like people who ask questions before booking! These people have something to hide.

If there pre-holiday customer care is like this, don't bother booking with them because if you get into any difficulties whilst abroad you will just get hung up on. It's disgraceful.

Hi,

I have just returned from a holiday booked with hello holidays. They also operate under the names of 2can travel and medinland travel. My advice to you and to anyone is please do NOT book a holiday with them.

I had terrible problems before I went away i.e. taking an unauthorised amount of money out of my account which took hours on my part to get reurned to me. I contacted teletext holidays who were very helpful and I did get my money back after this.

With that behind me I looked forward to my holiday. The hotel and its facilities were not as decsribed on their website. As I had a problem whilst on holiday and no representative exists I phoned their 'in resort helpline' number that I had been given. The person I spoke to was based in Birmingham and had never heard of my resort! Despite 3 phone calls to the the UK and assurances someone would contact me no-one ever did.

I have only just returned and intend to contact teletext holidays again this week to make them aware of this problem.

They are ABTA bonded but I phoned ABTA in regard to all of this and there is nothing they can do. Unfortunately as the holiday industry is not yet bound by the standards that other business's must have people can fall foul of such treatment and disapointment.

Hopefully taking the time to reply to this will prevent the same happening to someone else.

I have booked my daughter a holiday with Hello holidays. Only to discover they have charge more than stated on the telephone, and the holiday doesnot include transfers to hotel. Plus they they charged for the flights and the accommodation seperately. I am going to phone then again to -day as I am still awaiting their comfirmation in a letter plus holiday details.
Stay clear would be my advice to anyone.

I recently booked a holiday through teletext with Hello Holidays for two adults and two children. We arrived in Salou to find that we were not booked into the apartments. Stranded in the middle of the day at 12pm we didn't get a hotel until 5pm that evening. This was very stressful and also this was not a package holiday as we were told when booking so at the airport we had to get our own transfer. I have now wriffen to hello Holidays and they have offered a gesture of a measley 200 we spent more than that in phone calls and taxis trying to get some accommodation. My advice isnot to book with them.

Don't do it I have posted a note on here. We were stranded in Salou with two children for five hours as the apartments were not booked. Cost us lots in taxi's and phone calls back to England to get them to find us a hotel, still dealing with the complaint now.
