240 for checking in an extra bag!
We are in the process of moving house (help) and when clearing out old papers, found the reply from BA to a letter of complaint I sent them in 2002 - it boiled down to BA's reply that it was all down to economy and reading between the lines that the customers don't count. Since then I refuse to travel with BA so I'm not surprised at BA's extra tax. So do what I do, pick another airline, if it's to the far east travel either Thai, Emirates or one of the other well known long haul airlines.

240 for checking in an extra bag!
Oh dear.....confusion has set in....passengers checking in today will not be charged for checking in an extra bag!
BA said 'Clearly if someone turns up with two bags that are way over the weight limit, they will have to pay the excess.
We have not dropped the policy,' a spokesman said. 'We are showing flexibility and being sympathetic to our customers who may be confused at this early stage.'
Some passengers who had carefully scaled down their luggage to meet the new rules seemed even more confused at check-in.
So no black and white policy here....just lots of grey! Confused customers is not good for business!
If you are flying BA over the next few months, let us all know how you got on.
