| British tourists who are due to fly out to terrorist-hit Egyptian resort of Sharm el-Sheikh will probably not be able to cancel their holiday without losing their money, according to the Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA).

| I think its absolutely disgusting, anybody who wants to change holidays or get a refund should be able to. Jack Straw is out order saying we say its only unsafe to travel if a terrorist attack is imminent or law and order has broke down. Did he see that attack coming and will he see the next attack coming, I don't think so. The resort is tony blairs favorite and he chums with the eygption president so are the government trying to show support for tony blairs favorite resort and his chum.
People with children are the ones most worried and to say you can go or lose your money is nothing more than blackmail by the tour ops, if another bomb goes off and british tourist die the blood will be on abta's, jack straw and tony blairs hands for not letting people have the option to cancel with a refund. Blair won't lose any sleep because he has got so much blood on his hands he could swim in.

| To be fair, there are some double standards going on here. Our press and MP's had a real go at the US Military and Japan for advising people to stay away from London in the aftermath of the 7th July bombings.
So how can we castigate other nations for writing off London, but then do the same to Sharm?
Just a thought...

| I just think people should be given the opportunity to change to another holiday or get a refund if they feel unhappy about going. This not a small incident, a hotel was distroyed, they target hotels you can understand why people with children wouldn't be happy to go, but to be balckmailed go or lose your money is not fair. How many people going would cancel or change holidays if given the opportunity. If people want to go fair enough but the ones who don't shouldn't have to face a financial penalty.
