| I was reading about this child that went missing on holiday after being left in hotel room at the age of 3 years with twins of 2 years and parents doing half hour checks on them and i really hope everything turns out well for them and they find her but it got me thinking to how many others leave there kids in room asleep whilst they go to eat or drink? when would you leave your kids unattended?

| Unfortunately people do leave their children unattended. I have seen many people let their guard down as they are abroad on holiday. How many of us see small children in a pool while parents sit in the bar or doze on a sun lounger? Young children wandering to the local shops alone is another one. Things that they would not do at home I'd like to hope. This is yet another warning about how unsafe the world we live in is.
I dare say these poor people are asking themselves many questions. I only hope the outcome is a good one.

I think when people go abroad they are soooo relaxed they forget about the important things !!!!!!
I dont think i would even want to leve my son in a kids club although they are very safe and very high standards , i guess im just paranoid .
But he is the most important thing in my life!!!

| I've only done it once in Ireland and the hotel set up a call on the phone so all i had to do was dial our room number and as we'd left the phone off the hook we could hear everying
BUT despite what we think about leaving our kids, let's hope they found this this child safe and sound.

| I can never understand why parents leave their children alone while they go out for a meal, I wouldnt have left ours even in a hotel room.
These parents will never be able to forgive themselves, there is no such thing as a safe country these days, maybe it's a lesson to be learnt.
I just hope this poor little one is found safe and sound.

| To be honest, it sounds bad, but i dont think they will find her alive.
Totally irresponsible of the parents to leave children alone so they could have a booze up. I for one would never leave my daughter alone.
Half an hour checks? yeah right!!

| I agree Expertcruiser......they both earn a blinking fortune and they skimped on a babysitter!!!!
Why o why o why???
Like you, as time goes by, the hope fades.........but surely we've all got to be optimistic.
I cannot imagine the agony the parents are going through and they must be thinking about that great expression "with hindsight"

| The bloke who owns Stobo Castle has just offered £1m for information that leads to the safe return of the girl.
Well done to him and I hope someone is tempted

| I hope too that who ever has taken the poor little might needs the money badly enough to return her.
Although the time it took the police to start looking, she was most probably already out of the country.
Lets just hope and pray that she is still alive. We must never give up hope.

| Two points here. I personally never left my children alone in a hotel room, we always took them with us even if they were asleep in the pushchair but I still feel so sorry for the parents. It's something they'll never forgive themselves for.
The other point is I think it was on the news that at the particular resort in question, it was difficult to book a babysitter, so in all fairness to them there were reasons for not getting one organised.
I do hope they find the poor little mite, she looks so lovely, and if they do find whoever abducted her, I hope they throw the book at them.
