Road works affecting Manchester Airport

I am not sure if anyone has posted this yet, but road works have started this week affecting the turnoff from the M60 to Manchester Airport. They are scheduled to last 9 months and, at times, there will be evening and weekend closures with detours in operation. Sorry, but I don't know how to do the link thing.... so if you are flying from Manchester please check out the Airport website for further information.

Unless you hadn't of mentioned it I would never have been aware of it, despite logging onto the airport site regularly.

We are going to Madeira on Monday 18th Aug and as our flight is 6am we would be travelling from East Yorks in the night. Luckily, we are travelling on the M60 anticlockwise and come off it before the roadworks so we won't be affected. (Hopefully!) Thanks again.
