I was talking to a lady in Tesco this morning, her son and daughter in law are in mainland Spain on holiday. They rang home to say that the local Supermercado shelves are empty. They are having awful trouble getting food in.

i`ve just watched clips of the strike on the BBC online news , have to say it doesn`t look too good for the Spanish , far less us holidaymakers - is there any sign of some sort of agreement being reached or could this last indefinitely ?

just returned from lanzarote last night - the "truck strike" appears to have had absolutely no impact on the island - every thing seems normal.
