Supermarkets will be fine. Maybe a few will be affected being a bit lower than normal, but with the amount of supermarkets there is in majorca you wont have anythign to worry about. If all else fails, eat out.

Hi Free,
You are right to show some concern, if like the British there is panic buying then there may well be some shortages.
Surprising as it must sound, lorries do supply supermarket and hotels with provisions.
Your travel agent should be able to give you up to date details on this strike, and whether your hotel or accommadation is affected.
Good Luck.

CAN ANYONE OFFER AN UPDATE.
Sorry I don't have an answer for you just yet.
I'm also concerned as I'm taking my daughter, son-in-law and 3 youngsters to Lanzarote on Thursday 19 June.
My local garages in Chester U.K. ran out of petrol this evening (Sat). Flights, transfers, food and other goods supplied to hotels, restaurants, supermarkets etc. All could be affected.

Youngest son returned from a 14 day Med cruise on Friday, and said that they could not dock in Vigo because of the Spanish truck drivers strike. But he did not elaborate, I will ask him why? But I assumed that they were blockading the port? He said that the ship had to go to Almeria and he was disappointed.
