This Time Next Week!!!!
Well this time next week I'll finally be in Tunisia. Just wondering if anyone has just come back or going out there soon and knows what the weather is like? Also what are peoples favourite bars in Hammamet and Yasmine Hammamet?

Hi
Am SO jealous!! We went in may, mainly stayed in hotel.. did go out to yasmine markets which was a really pleasant experience. Be guided by folk at the hotel you are staying at and all in all get out and explore.. really don't think you can go that far wrong.

I have been going to Tunisia for over thirty years and have never had a single injection. There is no compulsion to do so and apart from the occasional bad tummy day I've never heard of anyone going down with any major disease. Of course there is always a possibility of catching something as there is in every country in the world but I don't think anyone should panic into having injections just for the sake of it!

Have been to a few countries and always have to put up with varying degrees of stomach upset.
Chemist from all over have served me but I reckon the Tunisian pills were the best I have had.

Sorry to hear that JanC. I picked up salmonella on holiday in Crete and it took over a week to get tests done before I got the antibiotics. Took a further four weeks off work to recover
It is a shame when you have worked hard to have a holiday, relaxed only to have something like this happen. Hopefully they have caught it and you will soon be on the mend.
