10 visa for Turkey

Postby SammyT68 on Fri Sep 16, 2005 1:57 pm

Hi all,
Just looking for some advice.... I was in Turkey in July and paid the 10 required for a 3 month Visa. I am going back this week, and want to know if I have to pay again even though I am within the 3 months?

Thanks in advance
:)

Hi Sammy,

I don't think you do have to pay again. Unless your holiday exceeds the time remaining on the visa.

Try posting this in the Turkey Forum aswell.
CarolG will probably be able to give you the correct answer.

Hope you have a lovely holiday.:D

The visa is valid for 3 months for date of first entry, for multiple entries into Turkey within the 3 months it covers.

Yes that is correct. As long as it is within the three months visa limit and you return within the period it is issued for.

Have a nice time.

Take care when I say three months it is 90 days, so you may just be outwith the visa.

Hi CarolG,
Turns out that it actually is 3 months that the visa is valid for... they didn't seem too happy that we didn't have to pay again.. :(

Had a great time...I think that September is the best time to visit Turkey, and the Siesta Beach apartments that we stayed at were quite good. :p

Unfortunately this will be my last visit to Turkey as i will no longer be flying... due to probs with our return flight with Pegasus. We had to return to the airport after about 15-20 mins into the flight due to "technical problems"!! :(
The way that the stewardesses reacted and the fright that everyone else got, it was certainly more serious than they made out! One engine packed in and the cabin de-pressurised, and the stewardess indicated that the oxy-masks should have came down (which they didn't). Pegasus Boeing 737s must be about 30 years old, they are filthy. :icon_grrs

There are other airlines flying to Turkey, that are FAR better than Pegasus. I would look into the availability of flights on other airlines, as it would be a real shame to give up going to Icmeler because of one bad experience.

I know that a bad flight can really put you off flying. I had this problem many years ago flying into Istanbul where I thought we were going to crash land.

The best thing to do is get on a plane as soon as possible. You will get over this and it is very very unlikely it will happen again.

Dont be put off flying or coming to Turkey!
