for the first year we have fallen into the trap of our son being classed as an "adult" in many hotels, which in my opinion is crazy, but hey ho.Does anyone know of any 4* hotels in side ,turkey that cater for 13 yr olds as "children" or alternatively icmeler?
we prefer all inclusive and last year we went to dominican republic for the same price as B&B in Greece because of this stupid system as we managed to get him a child price, but it took some finding!!! Also we are always penalised for the fact we have 1 child..not everyone is blessed with a pidgeon pair or more, so why do we have to pay more???To add to that we all know how the price jumps the minute school holidays start...talk about discrimination!!! Maybe the system needs an overhaul for us parents!!!

Hi maxxy,
welcome! I've moved your thread to the Turkey forum, since your question is specificaly aimed at a resort in Turkey. Hopefully one of our experts here should have the info you're looking for!
I would certainly agree you're getting the rough end of the stick, both with school holiday price hikes, and owner of a single child.

Re: Child Price for 13 Year Old?
Hi Maxxy,
The price hike for flights at different times of the year that coincide with the school holidays is one of my pet hates and one that the British government should put a stop too.
Besides the flight companies doing this I think someone should tell them that the price of fuel has now dropped so why don't they drop the surcharge for the fuel rise.
Going back to your dillema I do sympathise with you but have you thought about renting an apartment for your family which will bring costs down considerably.
If you need any help then please ask.
