Children and ice cream and ice lollies

Postby eleand65 on Sat Jul 01, 2006 9:45 pm

Can anyone advise? We are going to Icmeler next week and the kids do enjoy their icecream. What are your recommendations? is it safe to eat? Is the milk pasteurised? Would love any help you can give.thanks:occasion1

we used to buy our kids the lollies in wrappers - and they often had ice cream as a dessert most evenings and we never had any problems whatsoever so you should be alright.

You'll love Icmeler, it's heaven on Earth :thumleft:

Dont worry ice cream is safe to eat. However as the temperatures are very high at the moment its best not to give the children too many ice creams/lollies or very cold drinks.

This upsets the system as your body reacts to the extreme difference in temperatures either by taking upset tummies or sore throats/swollen glands. After eating ice cream always drink water which helps.

Many tourists coming abroad think its the 'spanish tummy' they have when in fact it is too many cold drinks upsetting the system!
