Lively Holiday in October

Postby TinkyBell on Thu Aug 21, 2008 1:24 pm

Hi, looking for a lively but relaxing holiday in the sun and thinkin Turkey maybe the best bet???
I've heard its hot this time of year and i'm looking for as hot as possible in October!
There are 2 couples going from Manchester 6th-16th Oct but not sure where to look for the best deals, which areas are the best for beaches, activities, nightlife etc.?
Any info would be appreciated as i'm really looking to book soon so its all sorted, i seem to have been left to sort it all out! Argh! Budget for each person is around £350 for 10 nights and would really like All Inclusive if possible.
Thanks so much x

Lively Holiday in October

Hi maybe have a look at Marmaris,Gumbet,Alanya or even Bodrum. Haven't been there myself (I like quiet resorts).Turkey weather is still nice in daytime (not hothot) and maybe a bit cool in evening (need a light jacket) and sometimes rain at night. Everything is closing down at end of October- so shops need to sell off cheaper. Hope this helps.
p.s. been in Turkey until 10th Oct. and been very good but who knows?

Bodrum and Gumbet are still lively during the middle of october and you should get lots of good weather. I lived in Bodrum and spent 4 or 5 octobers there and it wsa always lovley, it odes get cool in the evenings. We did have a thunderstorm last october but it was durin gthe night and the next day was a bit cloudy, then it brightened up again.

The beach is nice in Gumbet and it is great for nightlife. Bodrum has good nightlife and plenty to do and see but not much of a beach.

I personally wouldn't advise All inclusive as there are so many good places to eat in both Gumbet and Bodrum and it is noce to be able to go somewhere different each night.
