No response from Online Travel Agent

Can anyone give me some advice please.

I have bokoed a holiday with otbeach.com travelling to Ichmeler in September. The online brochure advertised the apartments as being in Ichmeler, I booked, but after checking i've realised they are in Marmaris. We have family staying in Ichmeler and want to be close to them.

I have been trying to contact otbeach.com since last thursday to amend the booking but have had NO response. The admin department offers only an email service with a 48 hour turnover. I have had an automated response acnowledging my email but nothing else.

How long should I wait before trying to book an apartment with another company and do you think I will be able to get my money back via ABTA if I complain. Its not a lot of money (less than £100) but thats not the point I really want to sort this out and have peace of mind before i travel.

This is an awkward one. Can you give me the name of the apartments you booked thinking they were in Icmeler please and I will see what I can find out.

The apartments are Selen Apartments. I believe there are two one actually in Ichmeler the other in Marmaris. If you look on the on the beach website you will see the one which I think is in Marmaris.

Yes I see what you mean, it says apartments in Icmeler then on the description it says your in marmaris.
I can only suggest you keep trying the tour operators number or try faxing them.
It would be very difficult to get ABTA or ATOL to take them on and win because of the description saying " marmaris " is there and easy to read. I am sorry I cant be of more help.

Some people class Icmeler as being in Marmaris just as Birmingham is part of West Midlands, Leeds is part of West Yorkshire etc etc and when i've written to friends in Icmeler, i've always added Marmaris to the address so it may and i only say MAY be the right one.

Hope you get it sorted anyway
