We are planning to go to Turkey rather than Greece next year.Is Turkey expensive to eat out? I ask because I have just met someone who stayed in Turkey in June and said it was unbelievably expensive.Admittedly, she stayed in a posh hotel in an area famed for its cruise ships.Any info would be gratefully received.eg how much would an evening meal with housewine cost for two?

i dont think turkey is expensive we wre in marmaris last year 5 people i think the most wepaid for a meal with drinks was about �40-�45 it depends where you go i suppose but we didnt have a bad meal in the 14 days we stayed we are ging back this year on august the 16th will let you know if prices have gone up when we get back

i think turkey is still cheaper than spain or greece also think about bulgaria weve been 4 times its got something for everyone and its cheap

We usually eat in a decent restuarant and would expect to pay between fifty and sixty lira. �20-25 for two courses with wine.
You can eat cheaper and I daresay more expensively.
A boat trip with lunch will set you back about �6.
