| Its about time I got myself to Ireland. Being on a very tight budget it's become nearly impossible for me & mine to get to the med in the summer hols, I've done caravans three times because if you search you can find some UK caravans for less than £500 a week (amazing) but if you are not careful where you go - Hemsby last year - want a dump - beach is fantastic but the "town centre" comprised of chips, chips & more chips, slot machines & almost 24 hour bingo expensive £1.00 shops & usual tourist tut. Is it just me or do they cook their chips in something other than cooking oil - by the end of the week that smell made me heave..... anyway with a cheap flight to Dublin, I've been told there are fantastic beaches in and near Dublin - so now all I need is a cheap, clean but basic places to stay..... any information or ideas would be very welcome for my latest adventure thanks

| Hi There
You need to get yourself to BRAY just hop on the DART from dublim and in less than an hour your at a lovely little beach resort. Two stops before is the village of Dalkey well worth a visit as this little village has become a haven for irish celebrities with lots having properties in and around the village such as gloria hunniford and mave binchey to name a few. Have a drink and a meal in the Queens and do some star spotting (pearce brosnan last time i was there). Then take a trip up the vicow road for fantastic views.
Just Google Dalkey and have a look at the pictures.
