Hi guys

I am going on holiday with a friend, hopefully in September.

We want to go somewhere in the middle of the UK, but it has to be quiet. We looked at the lakes, and such, but we are not sure.

We are looking for something quiet, but with a couple of things to do, even if they are quiet.

Anywhere in the middle of UK would be great :)

thanks

Hi,
I'm getting you very well, and also I understood that what's your planning. Your planning is good, I will also suggest for turkey. It's very good place, we can get all this things there.
you can get here all that you need to spend a vacation full of fun and enthusiasm. There are varied range of water sports available at Gumbet. The beach of Gumbet is sandy , long and curvy which is a gateway to holiday resort.

Good Luck!!

Yeah definitely Skipton - or somewhere else in the Yorkshire Dales, e.g. Richmond, Masham, Aysgarth etc. There is a wonderful attraction near Middleham called The Forbidden Corner, also Richmond Castle and Middleham Castle. The caves at White Scar Cave, Ingleton is also a lovely trip, although I wouldn't go after heavy rain LOL! Although the Dales get busy in summer, its not like a resort or a city location, and you can find quiet accommodation.

I just want to say I'm very lucky. I live in Scarborough which has the castle and beach. I am also close to York (one of the best UK cities), the North Yorkshire Moors and the yorkshire Dales. I think these make Yorkshire the best place to visit, and we can make most attractions in a day trip. I'm not gloating or anything (ahem) I'm sure some of the other forum members live in lovely places too. Including lovely Villas in the Med and Caribbean!! (no jealousy, honestly) ;-)

All i live in is Edinburgh, 8 minute walk from the castle, see it from my house :p lol

Skipton sounds delightful! Just what we are looking for i think. What is the local railway station (as we will be getting the train)?

As for Turkey - i much prefer Italy, Paris, etc... you gotta love spammers :)

Looks nice - countryside, yet things to do :D
