Hi
I am looking to go on holiday in august with my boyfriend just for 4-6 days but on a bit of a budget. We are only in our 20s so are looking for something a little livley with nice places to eat out and activitys to do in the days. Would prefere somewhere near a beach but anywhere that will be nice weather. If in the uk i am willing to drive but not to far no more than 5 hours drive or somewhere with cheap flights. Can anyone think of anywhere good to go as i havent got a clue.
Cheers for any responce x

Hi welcome to HW,
Why not take a look at the euro cities forum, many of these do short 3/4 & 5 day breaks.
My personal recommendation would be Paris by Eurostar, three day return from 234 including hotel, take a evening trip on the Baton Rouge for something really special.
By put these cities into you browser you can often find these deals, or pick up a short break brochure at TA.

Hey try flyglobespan.com they've got cheap flights, also hotels available in various cities and popular holiday resorts. You can choose your duration anything from 2 nights plus.

Hi, how about Barcelona - only a 2 hour flight and you can pick up flights with low cost airlines such as jet2, easyjet, flymonarch and ryanair (reus and girona) for as little as 60 return per person including taxes in August, provided you can be flexible on dates. Try using the cheap fare finder sections for the month on their websites. You should be able to get accommodation for about 100 per person for 4 nights/5 days in August through travelrepublic or alpharooms. It's a lovely city with lots to see and plenty of places to eat out. Las Ramblas is very lively in the evening and the port area has lots of restaurants/cafes. The best bit is there is also a beach! Don't leave it late to book flights though as they go up the nearer your departure date is.

Its gotta be North Cornwall, we rented a private caravan in St Minver Holiday Park, near Wadebridge, North Cornwall.
My partner and I went there and cycled on the Camel trail, went into Newquay and if you like the beach its only a mile or so away. Did the Eden Project as well. Try this website, believe me the facilities are amazing, www.kernow4u.com. Prices are pretty reasonable but during peak times it can be difficult to get a short break.
Regards
Sue
