hi newbie.just come back from malta and must say i wasnt impressed.valetta wasnt too bad.some nice buildings, interesting museums and good views from barracca gardens but overall i didnt think it a particularly attractive island.buggiba reminded me of a bomb site and that obscene hotel in st julians bay sticks out like a sore thumb.i wont be going back there.

Its the people and the weather that make Malta a lovely place
the time I have spent there was lovely and very hot the place is extreamly dusty it is a shame there is only a couple of good beaches one called Golden sands which is large and has a large Hotel on-havnt been for a few years but was a very nice place then. If you get a decent Hotel and a nice pool with loads of amenities then you are laughing!!!!

I would definetly go back x

We loved Malta, the people are so friendly especially to the Brits! I would recommend staying somewhere other than the St Pauls Bay area as the beaches are not very good. Mellieha Bay and Golden Sands are the best beaches on the island.
