| hiya katie ......welcome to the club hope you find the forums very interesting and helpfull now then , cos july will be very hot so light casual dress will be the order of the day t-shirts ,shorts ect ect :sunglasses, sun lotions, most important comfortable footware is a must.
as far as luggage weight you are aloud 15Kgs of luggage ie (suitcase) and hand luggage think 5kgs your travel agent should of told you about this and should be on your conformation invoice as far as spending money i dont no are you self catering of all inclusive ??
but as a guide minimum around £600 and upto £1,000 but you take with you what you can afford , tips on flying irm go to your doctor he/she will give you the best advice but their is nothing to it trust me you will enjoy the flight just sit back and enjoy
got some freinds they have been to cos and they think its great but thats only an opinion plz check out the forums for info on cos anyway have a great holiday and have fun and enjoy

| hi katie and welcome to the forum, everything edge has told you will ok,one more point because of the higher security at airports now make sure you dont have any liquids in your hand luggage including creams .
you can take only 100 mls of liquid security and any medication you may need, also the airlines are getting very strict on luggage weight so if you have a limit of 15kgs try and stick to 12 kgs so you will have 3 kgs for pressies etc, when you return to the airport for journey home all the rules remain the same no liquids etc and if you go over your luggage weight limit it will be expensive so be careful.
flying is great you will really enjoy it,when you take off and are airborn once the plane gets speed up the engine noise reduces and you will probs think they have shut down but its normal, there will be all kinds of noises undercarrage going up etc all normal noises, when you land the engines will roar in reverse thrust again normal so nothing to worry about, enjoy your hols. tom.

| Welcome, Kate.
Kos is a lovely island, you've made a good choice for your holiday.
Flying isn't a problem, yeah, you'll get noises etc, but don't worry, everything will be normal.
I remember a few years ago, a young girl clerk where I worked went abroad for the first time, like yourself, she was bricking it before she went. When she came back we said "How was your flight?"
The reply was "Flying? Jammy! I love it!"
You're fear is that of the unknown, and I tell you, once you're up, all will be fine.
We were concerned about me first time we flew as I'm severely deaf, and because of my disability I have no natural sense of balance (can't swim either) and am bloody useless at a fairground as I end up with vertigo, but flying, no problems at all. Think of the flight as a Disney ride and you'll be OK.
July will be hot, so all those lightweight, strappy tops and dresses, 2/3 bikinis, perhaps a pair of crocs for the beach etc, whatever you do, WATCH THE WEIGHT, as they'll charge you an arm and a leg if you're over.
My tip is a lot of people take something "Just in case", and where do you think it ends up, yep, "in case"!
Don't forget, there are some very good shops there, so if you need something, I prescribe a little retail therapy!
