Hi Everyone
my name is kathy .......I am new here .. Just going to have a looka round ....
I have been to greece many times .. We go to kassiopi , Corfu every year .. it is a beautiful place. We have been to a few places in greece . Also been to Malta. Tunisia:mad: italy, Spain . Dominican republlic....... i am going to Austria on the 2nd septemebr
Has anyone been there ?? I have no idea about the place .. I have heard it is beautiful ....
Any info would be well received!!

Hi Kathy and welcome to HW.

I have been to Austria but only on trips out from Bavaria, the countryside is beautiful, we specially like the Zugspitz area, and Garmisch-Partenkirchen there is a wonderful natural gorge at Garmisch that you can walk through and under the waterfall, very cold even in summer. If you get chance just over the border in Bavaria is a place called ( Fussen ) it is where they filmed chitty chitty bang bang, and the castle used in the film is an actual castle, (Neuschwanstein )perched up a mountain, you can go inside the castle and see all the elaborate decorations and fantastic rooms, it was built by King Ludwig and his extravogance has to be seen to be beleived.
I know you will enjoy Austria and the surrounding area.

We are going to somewhere called .. Hotel Schlick .. Fuschl Am seel ((think i have that right !!))
