oasis apartments kos town

just got back from 2 week jaunt! apartments basic but ok, location too out of the way for me but 6 euros to kos town by taxi. nikos and family pleasant enough! just in the wrong job! didnt have any holiday atmosphere atall.. i felt like i was trying to jolly him along to make the stay bearable! the complex has massive potential if the entertainment and general vibe of the place was kicked up a few gears! i felt very aware that the tourist was looked on as pot of euros, left feeling a bit flat to be honest. biggest let down was some of the people staying there!! trying to get a smile out of most people was like extracting teeth! did try reminding people they were infact on holiday!! was reminded twice whilst sunbathing that skin cancer was likely with my chosen brand of sunscreen!!! this was from people who had barely said hello to me let alone struck up conversation! funnily enough the crappy comments and dirty looks i recieved on a daily basis were from overweight sunburnt middle aged horror bags who obviosly were looking at their husbands through different spectacles from myself! thank goodness for peter lorraine and family!! lovely people to be around. not the place to stay if you are travelling alone, single, tan easily! and are in your thirtys!!!
