private messages?

Still quite new to all this mularkey!!! how do i go about sending private messages??

Unfortunately, that facility has been removed. We have found it more beneficial for others, if info is posted in the forum.

Bex, Chris and Jan - could the email system be reinstated but only if the recipients want to be contacted put on their profile? Sometimes, I want to catch up with HW members I've previously emailed on a personal level but unfortunately I've deleted all the details. If that's not an option, would it be possible to email a member via HW site. If there are safeguards, and I'm sure most people would agree to certain restrictions, anyone who abused the email system would be banned.

Hils, that would be a good idea, recently a few other HW members have said the same thing.

I had a problem where a HW member wanted to contact me. I too had lost her email address through changing from BT to talktalk.

Its such a shame when we loose contact with HW members.

Like you said though Hils only ones that want to be contacted. Some HW members have made good friends with one another.

We'll sort something out. The main problem previously was people asking questions of other members in PM's which would/should have been forum posts for the benefit of more readers. And also the odd filthy spammer!

Yes Techie, you're a bright shiny star. Also when prizes are given out for the quiz, how are people to be contacted for their addresses if there's no email?
