Advice needed

Hiya, me and my boyfriend looking for our 2009 holiday for next June, was wondering if anyone could give us any ideas for hotels, we want somewhere cheap and basic, but not an 18-30 as we dont want rowdy. We also would like to be near enough to the nightlife but not to close for all the noise.
Any suggestions are welcome!

Agios Nikolaos! No 18-30's scene but a few (3 or 4) "tourist" bars. Great restaurants and some nice beaches. Try Simply Crete Holidays for accommodation and get the cheapest flights you can off the internet.

Stalis is a great place,lovely beach,nice restaurants,just enough nightlife. There are 3 or 4 British themed bars. The Brittania inn,Rose and crown,Rovers return are all recommended. We love it there and Malia is a few km away [easily walkable] if you fancy a louder night! Which we never did! There are many operaters who deal with stalis,Manos,Olympic are two. We used Kosmar but unfortunately they no longer exist. We recommend The Fan Apartments,clean,reasonable,friendly,nice pool. Avoid the Maria Apartments,rude and unwelcoming.
