Has anybody stayed at Maison Fargues on Lot France? Im interested to hear your experiences and whether you got your deposit back? I had to go through the courts before it was finally returned and It seems to me the owners are making a living from taking the deposits. Thanks in advance.

xxxxx and xxxx of Nottingham, the authors of this comment initially had their security deposit withheld because of the appaling way they left the property at the end of their holiday.
Our advice to any other property owner who is contacted by these slovenly individuals is to steer clear of them completely.
We are currently initiating legal action against these two individuals for the slanderous accusation made here as this sort of comment cannot be ignored as it clearly unfounded.

I stayed at Maison Fargues October 2009.
I received the deposit within one week of leaving, with no problem.
We were a little concerned as previous guests has left the oven in a state and the cleaner had not been in to fix it up but we raised this with the caretaker and he was very understanding.
Maison Fargues is a lovely, rustic property. The furnishing is fairly basic but perfectly acceptable. The bathrooms and kitchen are all great. Some of the amenities could use some TLC - the knives are dull, over time the glass ware has suffered wear and tear and there aren't full sets of anything, the CD player didn't work - but these were minor concerns that didn't at all effect our enjoyment of our stay.
