This is my first post here - so i hope you'll accept the rantings and ravings of a newbie - i'll try my best to keep the 'Choice Anglo Saxon' to a minimum!!

My agency recently received a debit memo for my personal travel from BA's Let's Grab All the Money We Can Department, wanting GBP600.00 or so on an R class Madrid return ticket. The ADM cited ticketing outside of permitted time limit when in fact, it was quoted and fare stored on the 20th April and ticketed on the same date.

I think they are trying to pull a fast one related to this new, idiotic 'ReBooking into a new PNR' once a fare quote has expired stipulation.
BA Travel Trade sent out an email notification on the 11th May about this, and even though my ticket was issued on the 20th April, they are trying to con us with an ADM.

Luckily, Sabre guarantee their fare quotes and we can prove that the ticket was quoted an issued on the same day - even though it had been rebooked several times - as most travel agents tend to do.

This can only be yet another example of the desperate measures BA are stooping to, trying to con all the money they can out of anyone..... another being the 'YQ fuel tax' is part of the fare and is not refundable - they are such a bunch of low-lifes.

I was absolutely delighted to hear recently that BA posted an operating loss last year, and i sincerely hope they continue to do so. Who knows... we could even hope for them to go T**ts Up!

I understand your frustration but if BA went out of business, aside from all the people who would lose their jobs, we'd be left with the likes of Ryanair who are a million times worse!

It's not so much a frustration, more of a rant about how BA seem to think they can get away with anything..... just because they are BA!! Yes, lots of people would lose their jobs if they went under, but let's face it.... with only one or two exceptions, there isn't anywhere in the world you can't get to using other carriers.
