bad reviews

I am new to this forum stuff, but I need some advise. I have booked to go to Playa Blanca on 23rd July, and the reviews I have read about hotel are scary. I phoned Thomas Cook and asked to upgrade to a 4 star but they said no as it is too short notice. Please can someone help me on this one. I am desperate

It depends. I always go in with an open mind regardless of reviews and if i have any queries i speak to the rep there and take the next course of action.

Sometimes they are not that bad, but sometimes they could do with improvement.

Personally id take your camera and give it a whirl.

Thanks John I spoke to CAB and they said same,think I might have to grin and bear it and go with an open mind.
