just google the name in full and read all the very bad feedback, sounds like another very dodgy timeshare rip off.

It's not all bad feedback.
The accommodation on offer is of a very high quality and can offer a better standard of unit to package holidays

The reason the period is of that length is to avoid legislation, now ask yourself why they might they want to do that?
The offer is only good if the company lives up to its promises. What if you can't get the weeks you want? (That's the common complaint).
You do realise that if you go somewhere you will be subject to more and longer high pressure sales, which might spoil your holiday.
If you decide you do want to buy into CLC then there are plenty of people who will sell to you at a much lower price. I believe CLC allow you to do this. Diamond Resorts International don't.
Also check CLC on Timesharetalk Forum.
Take a look at these regulations. http://www.timeshare.org.uk/cpr.html. Did they break any?
If after all that you decide to go ahead, don't say you weren't warned.

I knew about the Club La Costa. The Club La Costa is a timeshare company who has links with RCI who are one of the largest in the world. They have around 45 timeshare locations around the globe.

I signed up for the three year trial as I thought well three years is nothing in my lifetime, went on the first holiday to Malaga (which is thier flagship site) and the accomodation was superb with very good service....BUT we had to go with a sales rep for a couple of hours which turned into 5 hours, and was actually about to sign up for an upgrade..until we read the small print and added costs that he didnt tell us..the rep said he didnt know about these costs.
On returning I decided to book for the free holiday only to still be haggling with them over what was agreed to me and my wife at the presentation...again read the small print before signing anything!!!!! I didnt and am suffering from it..I didnt get the people at the initial presentation to put in writing their agreement to me and my wife.
I have just had a phone call from Club La Costa saying that the word FREE is NEVER USED...Bullshit!...but the word promotional is used when telling you that you have won a FREE..sorry promotional holiday.
I will admit the only holiday that I have taken with CLC, the quality of accommodation was good, but I am very very wary of this company and the way that they do business and will be extremely rude to any employee trying to get me to upgrade at any of the resorts that I visit in my three years..I will Not be carrying this on.
