corfu [sidari]

Hi Monkeymoo

We go to Sidari on 24th August as well, this is our 4th year in sidari (3rd year at Lagoon Apts). All the restaurants are brillient, I would definately recommend - Memories (Greek dancing every night, lovely staff and great food, very friendly - its my 8 year old son's favourite restaurant). 3 Little Pigs (greek fire dancing brillient and food excellent), Paradise (one of the cheapest meals we had last year, greek dancing of a sat night), roof top (beautiful), sea breeze (lovely food and staff again), loads and loads more, you will love it, how old are your children?

Where are you staying? Its absolutely brillient, we are all so excited now, only 7 days to go.

Also the Euro, my friend lives in Sidari (her bf works at the lagoon) its £1.18 on the strip, it has been for about 2-3 months, so I am exchanging most of mine over in sidari, just got a few from first choice for the first day.

Thanks that was a great help...first time to corfu so was not sure what it was like...we are staying at the lagoon flying out on the 24 as well.
cant wait...my girls are 13 and 11 and they are so excited..where are u flying from? we are flying from manchester 5.55pm flight time with tomson.
so the weather will be HOT HOT HOT !

lol, your staying at the lagoon, its brillient, this is our 3rd year, you will love it and the girls, the pool is gorgeous, well looked after, its got a slide into it as well, my son is 8 years of age, i know them all there, alex (head barman after 4pm) hes lovely, denis (during the day) hes russian, but speaks about 6 languages, he is lovely, spiros (the owner), stella (waitress), and Jess (receptionist from wales) and paul (entertainment at 10pm every night) hes been there 12 years, hes brillient, bingo, kareoke, quiz's, who wants to be a millionaire, killer pool, all great fun, i have been told by pauls girlfriend (gail) who lives there with him, that they are planning on doing another greek night our first week (hopefully), so that should be good).

We fly from Birmingham at 6am on 24th August, so we should be at the lagoon about 1-2pm in the afternoon, so we shall see you there.

Sounds great fun..just a shame we have a night flight but hay hoo better then no flight...so hope fully see you around the pool on tuesday morning..

Yes only 6 sleeps to go, yes see you around the pool, cause thats where Morgan will be, in it, he never gets out of it lol, you will enjoy yourselves, how long are you going for a week or two? I am going for 2 weeks, are you on facebook cause there is a group for the Lagoon Sidari, its got loads of photos on there as well, see you next week!

Hi, on fb its just called - The Lagoon Sidari.

Jess the receptionist set it up, theres some of me and my son on there I think from last year, loads go back year after year, its all good there, cannot wait, started to pack today as well, its very hot there as well, my mate txt me today, she said is boiling hot, it always is when we have gone (she says lol, touch wood), always go this time of year.

yeah just been on facebook,found it and joined.saw your pics.the weather looks hot...so need to get a sun tan..fed up of the weather here.
Just slowly packing and getting things sorted making sure i have not forgotton anything...like i allways do lol.

I forgot to say get some mossy spray, they are little buggers, they are a nightmare in corfu, last year for the first time i never got bit or morgan, i got Autan with Deet in it, IT MUST HAVE DEET in it, get it from Wilkinsons, its about £5 spray can, just spray this on your ankles once and it keeps them away they hate the Deet and i also get mossy wipes for morgan, which are about £1, they are good, but please take some Autan with Deet in it, otherwise they will bite you to bits, last year there were loads of kids with some nasty bites, i had to share my autan with them (which i didnt mind), but the mossies are out and about in corfu! My name is Tina by the way and 5 days to go, whoop whoop! lol

yeah got some mozzie spray from there last week allso plugins and wipes as i had heard they are bad there.
