I have recently had a call from ESS offering me a fantastic sum for my weeks timeshare in Anfi Beach Gran Canaria. They tell me they have a buyer all lined up BUT they want 1300 EUROS upfront this amount will be refunded when the sale is completed . Sounds too good to be true. HAS ANYONE EVER HEARD OF OR DEALT WITH THIS COMPANY. They are based in Spain.

Scam.anyone asking for an upfront fee. it will be a scam. Keep your money in YOUR pocket.

Have never heard of this company, but new ones spring up all the time. If you go into the history of many of these firms, they change names overnight so to speak. But whatever they call themselves they will be trying to con you.
As Full Monty says, cold call = scam as is a call to attend a meeting.
Forums are littered with people who have paid money to these so called firms and that is the last they have seen of it.
They are preying on people who want rid of their Timeshare and giving them false hopes.
Just ignore them and others who try the same scam.
If anyone contacts you from the Exeter area that will be a scam as well.
If you go on to the Timeshare Consumers Association site (TCA ) you will find out how these scammers work.

Hi Lostalot. I will take your advice and keep my money & am going to check out the Timeshare site you mention meanwhile if you do ever hear of this company please keep me informed.
