Just been looking at various places to book a holiday on the Thomson website. I have noticed that whether you fly east or west the return flight is always longer than the outward flight!!.....why?

Hey Iain

Flying east to west is always longer because of the strong headwind.

Flying from the west to the east this then turns into a tailwind thus making the return journey a lot quicker.
