The Exeter Express & Echo has published a story about Leisure Time Promotions, Buena Viva, Classic Cruisers, Easy Save Finance, St Frances Marketing and The Short Break Company today (Monday, August 3), together with a case study of a couple from Exeter who signed up with Buena Viva and are now hoping to quash their debt with the help of David Schneider who runs the Exeter Timeshare Steering Group.

The full stories will be on the Echo's website from tomorrow morning (Tuesday, August 4) for those of you who might be interested but do not live in the Echo's circulation area.

The newspaper's website address is www.thisisexeter.co.uk

It is the editor's hope to be able to run some follow-up stories over the next few days and weeks.

Many thanks to all of you who have contacted us at the Echo.

Just worth mentioning that we have now had our account with GE money written off WITHOUT having to contact a solicitor or having to sign up to any agreements. All we have done is taken Sandy Greys (free) advice from the TCA. Hope that others find that they have the same success without having to pay money to someone else for getting it!!

Hi witch7nx
Good for you and I hope others can get out too.!!! I have had a letter from a Link financial co saying my debt to GE has been assigned to them as have many others in our action group.,they seemed very flustered when I mentioned I was surprised they were actually buying debts off GE and Barclays considering Benny Goodmans court case in May and the impending action by our group, they seemed unaware of either unlike GE and Barclays!!!!!!

Link Financial & Asset Link (same company) know only too well about the misdealings of all the companies that came & come under the Exeter umbrella & also the shady dealings with GE Money & Barclays. The're not flustered, just devious. They buy the "debts" from finance companies at a low rate & risk the result of going to court to be in their favour. With the pending action of the Exeter Timeshare Steering Group, they might just come unstuck.
