I have had a timeshare with clc for 12 years in tenerife, after receiving the invoice for maintenance in december which had increased by 30% i decided to give it up, as I didnt think I had much chance of selling it. As my timeshare is wk 3 in January I notified clc before christmas that I would no longer be using it. Firstly I got a phone call telling me I had to give 12 months notice or pay the full amount maintenance I have looked through my paperwork and cant find anything relating to this. I told them that they have not given me any notice of such a substantial increase that I would relinquish my timeshare and I would not be paying them. I have now received a solicitors letter giving me 14 days notice to pay the invoice plus 25% late payment charge.
HELP the date they have given me is the 10 June. Has anyone else been in this position
has anyone relinquished their timeshare after several years
