Just been scammed by Haven.
Booked a sun holiday and paid my £38.00
about three months ago.
Received confirmation of booking and arrived at the park today. After a three hour Drive with two little kids, so you can imagine my disgust when i arrived and was told my vacation was cancelled. The receptionist phoned, supposedly someone who is responsible for the bookings(trying to pass the buck) just for that person to say that the holiday was cancelled 4 weeks ago and they didn't notify me because they dont have to?????.Nothing they can do to help me with two kids three hours from home.Supposedly after paying for the holiday i am supposed to pay for the electricity about £11.00 4 weeks in advance.
Read the letter of confirmation of my holiday booking and nowhere does it say i have to pay the surcharges before arriving at the park.
It also say's they will notify and assist anyone who's holiday is canceled.
I hope they don't reply to my letter demanding a refund and compensation as then I can take them to small claims court.
Will keep the site updated when there are further developments.
