Holiday in the Algarve

Hi All,

My boyfriend and I, (mid 20s) are thinking of visiting the Algarve however we are unsure of what region to visit. I am quite nervous as I can see that many of the reviews are quite varied.
We are looking for a relaxing holiday which has access to historical sites to visit and plenty of culture. We are very active therefore we would enjoy water sports activities ect.
We like good food and nice bars however we would like to ovoid the larger louts and binge drinkers.

Have you any ideas of what region would be best suited?

Any ideas on hotels.
