I found a holiday on the teletext website to portugal, albufura (a package deal) for the 11/4/2011. it stated that it was £174 per person.
i called up media travel who you have to ring to book with and first impression was the man was very unfriendly and also very hard to understand as he had a very strong indian accent. I was aware that costs such as luggage are normally added so me and my friend had £200 each to be safe. he thehn said after transfers, luggage and "upgrading our rooM" it would be £220. feeling stressed and wanting to sort it as it was a last minute holiday i agreed and proceeded to give him my card details.
After i gave them he said thats £500.. so £250 each. i said to him he added more and i didnt agree to this and he said ONCE I GIVE MY DETAILS THE TRANSACTIONS BEEN MADE! i dont know if this was sales talk but i ended up paying almost £80 more than intended! i would never ever book a holiday through this company again. the situation left me feeling stressed and angered. steer clear people!!!

Before I begin, I just want to say that our holiday to Magalluf went as planned, all bookings of flights, transfers, hotel were as expected, so don't panic if you have already booked with Media Travel!
The problem with our booking was, as stated in the previous review, once the holiday was booked and paid for the company had very little interest in my enquiries. The issue we had was that, after being told how important it was to have our names correct on the documents, the documents arrived with my very common english name Katherine spelled 'Katherane' and with the title 'Mr'. I had clearly spelled my name on the phone so rang them straight away to let them know their mistake. I was told it would be investigated and if it was my fault i would be charged £100. A few days later the issue wass resolved, although no apology was offered. It then took another phone call to them to get them to send me the corrected documents. When I received them my title was then 'mrs' after I had clearly stated I was 'miss' on several occasions. In addition, on numerous occasions they said they would phone me and did not. I emailed them and got no response. They did not listen on the phone - they would follow a script and not listen to what I was phoning about, they couldn't even manage to call me the correct name. Although we got a cheap holiday the time wasted and infuriating phone calls was not worth it. I have written a formal complaint letter but still haven't gotten a response.

what a waste of time!
Booked a full board hol to dubai, paid in full an hour later they called me and said that the holiday i paid was not available as full board!
So i told them to refund the money, they kept calling me offering me money off and eventuilly i agreed to accept a £400 refund.
went on the holiday had a great time when the credit card bill arrived no refund
They wont talk to me, dont want to answer my emails.
they are great when they want your money, but when they have it they dont want to know!!!!!!!!

And they are at it again today!! just spent a fruitless 40 minutes on the phone trying to book a 2 night spa package in Majorca that did'nt exsist. Spent 30 of those minutes trying to get him to confirm that what I saw on screen was what I got!
Finally after much refusing to give card details until he confirmed , he came back and said that Teletext had got description wrong and it was in fact 2 nights B&B..no romantic spa package, no wine and fruit in room, no treatments in fact nothing stated in ad at all! He then said that that was all available but would have to be paid for locally!!
I have now emailed teletext with a screen print of ad, and will let you know what they come back with!

I booked some weeks ago and gave them all passport details of those travelling in the party. Since then, they have e-mailed me at least 4 times asking me for the details. Each time |I send them I remind them they have already been given the details, that's followed by an apology. A few days later they ask for the details again. I tried to book a special seat on the pane only to be told that all the party have to do the same - they cannot do it just for one!! Of course I argued with them and won. I would NEVER, EVER deal with this company again.
