nile cruise + hotel

We're off to Luxor for a week on the Nile (Nile Ritz, boat) and then a week in the Maritim Jolie Ville,(Hotel) has anybody been?, also any advise on excursions, we could book them here before we leave, all the excursions cost £170 to do all the trips to the valley of the kings, and so on, is it a good deal or can we get cheeper when we are there.
Also names of good eating places in Luxor, any idea's all welcome

Hello and welcome.

My out-laws (in-laws lol) have done a Nile Cruise. They took the tours offered by the boat. some of the tours were 5a.m starts due to the temperatures out there and they didn't fancy trooping around to find slightly cheaper operators. I'm sure there are cheaper ones, but would you want to take the risk of not finding them? i think they paid roughly the same price, about 10 excursions I think, or there abouts.

I'm afraid the out-laws didn't venture very far from the hotel in Luxor so I can't add any info on that, but I'm sure someone maybe able to help with that.
