Nile cruise with young children

What did you end up doing?

I am finding myself in the same dilemma at the moment.

I have an 18month old girl and a 5 year old boy and dearly wish to do a Nile cruise and I don't know if I will get another opportunity any time soon.

I have been looking at the Oberoi, AberCrombie & Kent & Sonesta cruise ships as they seem like the pick of all the liners.

It will cost me a fair bit and I would prefer to do the 7night cruise, but it would be good to hear it from someone who has done it with kids of that age.

My son is really into Egyptian History, however my daughter obviously isn't and I'm just thinking about the offshore tours and how practical are Prams?

I guess I could leave the little one with my wife on the odd trip and we can decide which trips we can take with/without the little one?
