Hi Everyone
My husband and I are going to Orlando for the first time.
We have booked flights.
Can anyone recommend a hotel. Not too expensive maybe a 3 Star.
We are both in our early 50's and don’t want to hire a car, unless it’s absolutely necessary.
Looking for something close to shops and resturants. With pool and a bar.
I have been looking at hotels on International Drive because there seems to be plenty of public transport, but it appears to be miles long.
What’s best, do we book near Universal, Disney, or the Convention Centre
We will be there for Thanksgiving, so any suggestions. Do the shops and restaurants close for this holiday?

Providing you find a hotel in the middle of international drive and you are both fit and able to walk, there is no reason why you shouldn't be able to enjoy a lovely holiday in orlando.
Holiday Inn ORLANDO-INTL DRIVE RESORT 6515 INTERNATIONAL DR
Is right by wet and wild and there are loads of restaurants and shops to look at in both directions.
my husband and | have been there 4 times and every time, we've walked out in the evening to find stuff to do and see. We haven't tried the public transport but my mother and father in law went over there and said that the buses were great.
Please go, it's a fantastic area to see with loads to do, you're bound to enjoy it.

Thanks,
I will check it out. We will probable end up hiring a car. Its just I find driving on the right very stressful and it takes the goodness out of the holiday, but I have been told that its very easy to find your way around.
Thanks again for taking the time to reply.
